At Wallace Stuart, we have taken our years of experience as funeral directors and have used it to bring you a selection of the finest coffin samples and an idea of price.
With these, you will be able to find the perfect design to suit the spirit and personality of the one you are laying to rest while staying within a dedicated budget at the same time. We do not over-sell our products and the final choice is always down to the family. We will always be honest about coffin costs so there are no surprises.
There are so many coffin choices on the market – from traditional veneer with brass effect furniture to woollen, cardboard and even glitter effect coffins. We can help you make the right choice that suits your budget. It can be a little over-whelming. We are also happy to use coffins that have been provided by the family themselves and we have companies that will allow families to buy coffins direct, cutting out any extra fees and charges – we really will help you in any way we can.

The Colourful Glitter Coffins by Colourful Coffins ® comes with the promise of a very glamorous and sparkling farewell fore a loved one. Ensuring enviromental sustainability is important for us, which is why our materials are biodegradable and eco-friendly. As with all Colourful Coffins’ products, the Glitter Coffins are approved by the Funeral Furnishing Manufacturer’s Association (FFMA) for burial and cremation.
From a range of 24 colours, our designers apply the glitter material by hand over any of our coffins: from traditional coffins, cardboard, classic to american caskets – and we really cannot express just how glittery these coffins are! They are utterly gorgeous!
Additional personalised finishes are available, like mirror inscription in Gold or Silver and contrast glitter wording in any of the 24 colours. Wording can be highlighted with crystal elements suitable for burial or cremation. Also, photographs can be added and decorated with crystal elements (maximum of 8 photos over the coffin).
We were the first funeral director in Somerset to carry out a coffin-less cremation in 2010. Since then, we have helped many families who wish for their loved one not to be placed into a coffin, to carry out their wishes.
We can use a simple board made from MDF which the deceased rest upon, usually wrapped in their favourite blanket or a calico shroud. The family can then decorate with flowers and photographs. Or our local willow company can make a cremation board from willow.
